Abstract

The formation of the libraries was done fulfill reader’s requirement. Libraries having a particular type of books does not fulfill all the information yearning needed to entire readers and thus in harmony and demand, pursuit, concern, interest, attraction, relevance, & readers’ hobby various categorized libraries are been emerged today. “A habit of the book reading is generator of personal development and knowledge.”
“Dr. Chandraprakash Gupt” an expert author on library science classified the libraries as mentioned herewith: 1) Educational Library, 2) Public Library, 3) Departmental Library, 4) Business Library & 5) Special Library. A library which can be integrated in the various segments contains the material within like 1) Educational Library - which provides the books and necessary documents relate to their studies and development, 2) Public Library – provides generalized books, documents, autobiography, news, and other material related to the general need of those material locally, 3) Departmental Library – contains the books, documents, thesis, articles, journals and other related material to the particular department, 4) Business Library – Such libraries are having material within like business gadgets, stock updates, business encyclopaedia, business news and updates, business laws and taxation laws etc. and 5) Special Library – contains the material on some specific topic relate to which the library is formed. Here, in the article the author wants to discuss about the library services and its effect on modern era readers.
